Chrysanthemum Drying
Chrysanthemum is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Asteraceae family and the genus Chrysanthemum in plant taxonomy. Its dried head inflorescence is usually used as medicine. Fresh chrysanthemum has a high water content, among which the petals have a low water content, the tissue is tender and easy to dry, while the flower head has a particularly high water content, which can reach more than 80%, and the tissue is old and not easy to lose water, that is, the chrysanthemum flower head is a medicinal material with extremely uneven tissue. Dried chrysanthemum is mostly used for making tea, which has the functions of strong and sweet taste, removing greasiness and digestion, and refreshing the brain and benefiting the spirit. Therefore, the color, fragrance, shape and taste of chrysanthemum are very high, and the original color, original taste and original appearance are required after drying. This requires drying after ripening, strong drying of the flower head part, and weak drying of the petal part. The current traditional drying process of steaming first and then drying in the sun not only completely depends on the weather, but also causes the petal part to be over-dried and the petals to fall off, and the quality of the dried chrysanthemum does not meet the requirements.

1. Keep hot air at 65-75 degrees for 2-3 hours to kill the green; keep at 35-40 degrees for 2-3 hours; heat up to 40-45 degrees for 8 hours, heat up to 50-55 degrees for 8 hours, a total of 18-20 hours.
2. Keep warm at 35-40 degrees for 3-4 hours; heat up to 45-50 degrees for 15 hours, heat up to 55-60 degrees for 1 hour, a total of 19-20 hours. (Note: The hot air blower keeps running and records by hour.)
